Dermavescence is an LED photomodulation device. LED is an acronym for “Light Emitting Diode” which is essentially a tiny but powerful light capable of generating a very specific wavelength or color of light. Specific wavelengths create predictable effects. 3,480 of these LEDs are deployed in each Dermavescence unit.
In the same way that nature converts light energy into cellular building blocks in plants, our body absorbs the energy from the LEDs to rebuild the cells in our skin. The chemical form of energy used by our cells is called ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate).
Above: 3480 light-emitting diodes are use in the process.
ATP is required for every important cellular function including repair and regeneration. If the power output is sufficient, LED photomodulation will cause a significant direct increase in ATP. Studies show clear textural improvement in skin and increased collagen deposition with reduced collagenase in the papillary dermis.
Dermavescence has the power to initiate that process.
Interestingly, as in acne scarring, there are times when it is important to de-energize a process. With just the simple touch of a button, the Dermavescence device has the ability to change from an energizing wavelength to one that will de-energize. Science has never been so simple and safe.
